About Us
Awesome started in 1989 as a hobby that got completely out of hand. The name came about when The Simpsons arrived on British television at roughly the same time - make of that what you will. Thirty five years later we're still here in Irlam, doing it the same way we always have: an expert team providing services that really do the job. Pick up the phone and you'll speak to someone who actually knows what you're asking about. That's not as common as it should be.
Workshop and Tuning at Awesome GTI
The workshop is at the centre of what we do. Fully equipped with a DynoJet rolling road and a team trained specifically on VW Group cars, we carry out everything from routine servicing and DSG work through to performance mapping and full tuning builds. The dyno lets us show you the before and after in real numbers rather than estimated figures, which is the only honest way to measure what a remap or supporting modification is actually doing to your car.

The warehouse sits alongside the workshop and is stocked with performance parts from the brands we actually use and believe in. Nothing on the shelves that we wouldn't fit to our own cars. The showroom is open to anyone who wants to come in and have a look before they buy, talk through a build or just see what we carry in person.

What is Awesome GTI's returns policy?
If something isn't right, get in touch and we'll sort it. Our full returns policy is available on site, or give us a ring on 0161 776 0777 and we'll talk it through directly.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Yes, we ship to most countries worldwide. Postage on bulky items can be significant so it's worth factoring that in before you order. Most larger exports go via DHL, which means you can track the package and European deliveries typically arrive within 72 hours if the items are in stock.
There are a small number of countries we're unable to ship to. Get in touch before ordering if you're unsure whether we can deliver to your location and we'll give you a straight answer.
Can I visit the showroom without an appointment?
Yes. We're open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm, no booking needed. If you want to discuss a specific build or project it's worth calling ahead so we can make sure the right person is available when you arrive.
Do you work on cars other than VAG?
No. We focus exclusively on VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda. That focus is what lets us know these cars properly rather than spreading attention across every make and model that comes through the door.
How do I know which parts are right for my car?
Ring us on 0161 776 0777. Our team knows the parts and knows the cars, and ten minutes on the phone before you order is always better than ordering the wrong thing and sending it back. That's not us being cautious, it's just how we'd want to be treated ourselves.
