Pricing
RaceChip pricing depends on your car. The same module concept fits 220+ VW Audi Group cars; the price reflects the calibration work behind your specific engine. Find your exact module via Shop By Car.
Covers the bulk of the range — A1, A3, A4, Golf, Passat, Leon, Octavia. Most fitments fall between £139 and £259 inc VAT.
S3, S4, S5 and similar — higher-state tunes for cars that already arrive with extra power from the factory.
For RS3, TT RS, RS6 and other top-tier engines. Calibration is heavier work and the price reflects it.
A separate product from the tuning modules. XLR5 fixes the lethargic throttle response found on many newer cars — once experienced, the XLR will be a must on any of your vehicles. Plugs in inline with the throttle pedal sensor; no software changes.
Supported cars

RaceChip FAQ
Will it leave a trace on the ECU?
No. The module wires inline between sensors and the ECU rather than re-flashing the ECU itself. Unplug it and the car is back to factory state — useful at service time, or before you sell.
How does it compare to a remap?
A flash remap rewrites the ECU's software for the deepest possible calibration. RaceChip gives you a meaningful step in power and response without touching the factory file — ideal if you want gains without permanence, or if your warranty terms or a locked ECU rule out flashing.
What does the app do?
The RaceChip app pairs with the module over Bluetooth and lets you switch between tune profiles from your phone — eco for the long motorway run, sport for the back road, full power when you want it. No need to open the bonnet to change anything.
Will it void my warranty?
RaceChip is TÜV-approved and the module leaves no permanent trace on the ECU. RaceChip offers a 2-year product warranty as standard, plus an engine warranty on many applications (T&Cs apply). A manufacturer warranty is a contract between you and the dealer — some accept tuning modules, some don't. We'll talk through your specific car when you book in. If you remove the module before service, there's nothing on the ECU for the dealer to see.
How long does fitting take?
Around an hour. Most modules can be fitted by any competent DIY enthusiast and removed just as quickly should you wish. We can also supply the module on its own for self-fit, plus walk you through the app pairing.
What's the XLR5?
The RaceChip XLR5 is a throttle-response module — a separate product from the tuning modules. It fixes the lethargic throttle response found on many newer cars, making the pedal feel sharper and more direct. Doesn't touch the ECU; plugs inline with the throttle pedal sensor.
