Why service your DSG
Your DSG gearbox has two computer-controlled clutches that work with very fine tolerances. When the gearbox oil is dirty it will affect the performance and damage other components. Dirty oil can overheat the gearbox and cause the clutches to burn out, stop the gear change being as smooth, and eventually cause the system to fail altogether.
A scheduled fluid change — with the right approved oil, the correct filter, and a proper adaption reset on the gearbox controller — keeps the box healthy and gives the tuning headroom for cars running engine software. TVS DSG software for tuned cars is offered separately.
