ODIS Diagnostic
Your VW or Audi dealer charges a fortune partly because they have access to ODIS diagnostics. We have it too, and we're a lot more fun to deal with. For modern VAG cars that are increasingly run by software as much as hardware, that's a bigger deal than most people realise. Generic diagnostic tools will get you so far, but when it comes to software updates or chasing down a fault that keeps coming back, you need the factory system. ODIS is exactly that.

What Can ODIS Do That Other Tools Can't?
Most independent garages run aftermarket diagnostic software. It reads fault codes, clears them and handles the straightforward stuff well enough, but the moment things get complex, it runs out of road.
Our ODIS service connects directly to the VW Group factories. That means guided fault finding done properly and software updates pushed straight from VAG. If there's a known fix for your car's issue sitting in the factory database, we'll find it.
Why Does ODIS Matter on Newer VAG Cars?
The newer the car, the more software is calling the shots. Coding a replacement module or pushing through a software update without the right system isn't just difficult on a current Golf or A3. On a lot of models it genuinely cannot be done any other way. Whether you're bringing in a Volkswagen or an Audi, ODIS gives us the same factory-level access across the board.
We invested in it because our customers deserve the same standard of work they'd get at a main dealer, just without the two-week wait and the raised eyebrow when you mention the remap.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is ODIS VW?
ODIS stands for Offboard Diagnostic Information System. It's the official diagnostic and programming software used by VW Group dealers across VW, Audi, SEAT, Skoda and Cupra. Where aftermarket tools read codes and stop there, ODIS talks directly to the manufacturer's systems. That opens up guided fault finding, module coding, software updates and the full factory technical library.
What is ODIS service used for?
Day to day our ODIS service covers key coding, ECU and instrument cluster coding, software updates direct from VAG and guided fault finding on the kind of faults that generic tools struggle with. If someone has told you a job can only be done at a main dealer, give us a call before you accept that as fact.
Can ODIS help with faults other garages couldn't fix?
Yes, more often than you'd think. Generic tools read codes but miss the context. ODIS works through problems using the same process the factory does, with access to field actions and known fixes that aftermarket software simply doesn't carry. If your car has been back to the same place twice with the same fault, ODIS diagnostics is the logical next step.
How much do ODIS diagnostics cost?
It depends on what your car needs. A diagnostic session, a coding job and a software update are all different conversations with different answers. Ring us on 0161 776 0777 and we'll give you a straight price once we know what's involved. No faff.
