Highly regarded as one of the best providers of ECU and TCU software for the VW and Audi Group vehicles, APR software provides significant gains developed in their 78,000 sq ft performance campus in Opelika, Alabama, where they perform rigorous in-house testing and development to the highest standard.

Inside you'll find custom data-logging systems, emissions-certification labs, and strict quality control ensuring that each process meets both enthusiast expectations and regulatory standards. Founded in 1997, APR's purpose was to provide the highest-quality products and software for VAG and Porsche vehicles. Software for Haldex systems and throttle response can also be purchased and, together with ECU and TCU remaps, improves the driving experience surpassing expectations.

Stages & pricing

Pick a stage that suits your car and goals. Stage 1 is software only and reversible. Stage 2 onwards adds bolt-on hardware. We'll match the right octane file (95 / 98 / 102 RON) to the fuel you run.

Stage 1 ECU Upgrade From £454.50 inc Rolling Road

The first step to more power. Software only, no hardware needed. Available in 95, 98 and 102 RON files. Includes a before-and-after rolling road run.

Stage 2 ECU Upgrade Bolt-ons required

Software paired with a higher-flow intake and cat-back exhaust. Bigger gains, still on the factory turbo. We can supply and fit the hardware.

TCU Upgrade (DSG / S tronic) Pair with ECU

Holds the extra torque, sharpens shifts, raises rev limits and supports launch control. We strongly recommend pairing with the ECU upgrade.

Haldex & throttle modules Add-ons available

APR also offers Haldex software and throttle response upgrades. Layered with the ECU and TCU work, the result is a complete transformation.

APR remap FAQ

Will an APR remap void my warranty?

Stage 1 is software-only and reversible to factory at any time. APR Plus extended cover is available on many models. We always discuss warranty implications during your quote.

Which fuel do I need?

Most APR Stage 1 files are calibrated for 95, 98 or 102 RON. The higher the octane, the bigger the gains. Tell us what you run and we'll set the right file.

Can I switch back to stock?

Yes. APR software can be returned to stock via OBD-II at any time. We retain your factory file on our system.

Do I need to change anything on the car for Stage 1?

No. Stage 1 is software only. No engine hardware modifications needed. The flash takes around 60-90 minutes including the dyno runs.

What about the gearbox?

If your car runs a DSG or S tronic, we strongly recommend an APR TCU upgrade alongside the ECU. It holds the extra torque without slipping and sharpens the shifts.
