4H-Tech Short Shift Kit VW Up! GTI

The 4H-TECH UPGTI-Shift has been specifically developed for the VW UP! GTI with 115hp. Unlike other UP models, which are equipped with 5-speed gearboxes, the UP! GTI features a 6-speed MQ200 transmission. However, the factory shift setup on this gearbox is known for its long throw, which doesn’t match the car’s sporty character and can reduce driving enjoyment. To solve this, we created a dedicated short throw shifter kit tailored for this model.

Once installed, this short shift linkage reduces gear throw by 40%, delivering a much tighter and more responsive shifting experience. The original gear stick’s design, height, and appearance remain completely unchanged. The kit mounts directly onto the top of the gearbox in place of the factory linkage. As a result, gear changes become quicker, sharper, and more precise, giving you a more engaging, rally-style “click-clack” shift feel.
