The Neuspeed short shift kit reduces the throw length between gears by approximately 40% - this is the absolute maximum reduction possible without overextending the cable mechanism. The NEUSPEED short shift kit incorporates a calibrated counterweight which is required for more positive shift action. Lookout for kits without the counterweight, as they will produce very notchy gear selection. This is a completely bolt-on application - no cable adjustment required. This short shifter has the larger 9.8mm Pin type stud.
