Are Vogtland springs any good?

Yes. Vogtland has been manufacturing suspension springs in Germany for decades and the quality is consistent throughout the range. The progressive winding is well suited to road use and the springs are matched to the specific application rather than being a generic kit adapted to fit. For a daily driven VAG car where coilovers aren't the right answer, Vogtland springs are one of the better options in the market.

How much do Vogtland springs lower the car?

The drop varies by application but most Vogtland sport springs bring the car down by around 30 to 40mm. Browse the specific product for your model on site for the exact figure, or give us a ring and we'll look it up for you.

Vogtland springs vs coilovers: which should I choose?

It depends on what you want from the car. Vogtland springs are a straightforward upgrade that works with your existing dampers and gives you a lower, better handling car at a sensible price. Coilovers give you adjustable ride height and damping, which is more flexibility but more cost and more setup involved.

For a car that's primarily a daily and you want lower and better without overthinking it, Vogtland springs are the more practical choice. For a car that's being built more seriously or will see track use, coilovers are worth the investment.

Do I need a geometry check after fitting Vogtland springs?

Yes. Lowering the car changes how the suspension geometry sits and running incorrect camber or toe after a spring change wears tyres unevenly and affects how the car handles. We can carry out a full geometry check and alignment in our VAG specialist workshop at the same time as fitting the springs.
