Audi RS3 (8Y) Tuning & Performance Parts

Shop RS3 8Y tuning parts and software at Awesome GTI, with a workshop and rolling road on site to fit and prove them. You'll find APR and RacingLine calibrations, Milltek exhausts, KW suspension and Maxton Design bodystyling, each listed against the Saloon or the Sportback.

Close to 500 parts sit in the range below, and the Saloon and Sportback selectors keep you looking at the ones that fit your car.

Audi RS3 8Y Tuning Software and Hardware We Fit

Software is usually where owners start, and our APR ECU Upgrade is installed here with dyno runs included. Its Stage 1 file needs no extra hardware, while Stage 1+ adds an APR intake and intercooler for more power. If your car still needs its RS3 8Y ECU unlock, we handle that too. We send the ECU off and book you back in for the software once it returns, and the car typically stays with us for three to five working days.

Prefer a plug-in option? The RacingLine OEM+ PCM takes OPF-equipped cars built up to 2024 from 400PS to 450PS, and torque from 500Nm to 601Nm.

Most RS3 8Y exhaust systems we stock are made for one body style. The Milltek GPF-back system comes as separate Saloon and Sportback versions, each with or without a resonator plus a louder Race option. You can hear our recording of the Race system on its product page before you choose.

KW DDC Coilovers plug into the factory adaptive damper wiring, so your drive modes keep changing the damping. The car then sits 20 to 40mm lower at the front and 25 to 45mm at the rear. They're made for cars with electronic dampers, so if yours has passive suspension, give us a call and we'll match you to the right springs.

Why RS3 8Y Owners Choose Awesome GTI

We run our own RS3 8Y, wrapped in the colours of the Power Maxed Racing BTCC Audi S3 we sponsor, and plenty of the Audi RS3 8Y mods on this page have been on it. Running the RacingLine PCM with a Forge intake and intercooler, it made 470hp on our Dynojet dyno, and it's now testing RacingLine Stage 1+ development software.

When you ring, you'll speak to a fellow enthusiast rather than a script. They'll also tell you APR's 30-day money-back guarantee covers the software but not the work to open up the ECU, which is why we talk it through with you before booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much HP can an RS3 handle?

Comfortably more than the factory 400PS on the standard turbo. Our own RS3 8Y made 470hp on our Dynojet with a supporting intake and intercooler, and APR's Stage 1+ software runs on the factory turbo once an intake and intercooler are fitted. Bigger targets need more supporting hardware, so call us and we'll plan it around your car.

What is the best tune for an Audi RS3?

It depends on what's already fitted. For a standard car, an Audi RS3 8Y Stage 1 file from APR needs no hardware changes and no gearbox software. If you've added an intake and intercooler, Stage 1+ makes more of them. Choosing a file is one thing, seeing it on the dyno is another, so we install both in-house with dyno runs included.

How much horsepower does the Audi RS3 8Y have?

The RS3 8Y makes 400PS (about 394bhp) and 500Nm of torque from its 2.5-litre five-cylinder TFSI engine. Quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed S tronic gearbox get it to 62mph in a claimed 3.8 seconds. The RacingLine PCM we fit takes it to 450PS.

Is RS3 faster than Golf R?

Yes. In standard form the RS3 8Y has 400PS against the Mk8 Golf R's 320PS, and it reaches 62mph roughly a second sooner. The Golf R responds well to tuning too, and we stock Golf Mk8 parts if that's your car.
