Is The GTI getting discontinued?

As the automotive world moves more towards EV or alternative fuels (we won’t begin to get into that just yet!) the question of whether VW will discontinue the GTI is more often on the lips of its fans than ever!

Looking briefly online and in other sources we don’t believe that VW would discontinue the GTI and in fact may not even discontinue the ICE engines found in them at least into the next decade.

So…. what if they did? What would we do? We believe the hardcore GTI owners would probably just keep their GTI and modify, maintain and enjoy it for as long as possible, after all it’s the original and best, there would be no other option, right?
