Frequently asked questions

What is RacingLine Performance?

RacingLine is a VAG-specialist brand that produces tuning software and a full range of performance hardware developed specifically for VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda. Everything is designed around the OEM+ philosophy, improving on the factory setup in a way that works as a coherent system. It's not just bolt-on parts. It's a thought-out approach to making these cars better.

Stage 1 or Stage 2 - is an intercooler necessary?

At Stage 1 the standard intercooler unit will generally cope. At Stage 2 the factory cooler starts to become a limiting factor, particularly in warmer weather or back to back pulls. At that point it stops being an optional upgrade.

Where can I buy RacingLine parts in the UK?

We stock the full RacingLine performance range at Awesome in Irlam, Manchester. You can browse and order on site or give us a ring on 0161 776 0777 if you want advice on which products suit your car. We also carry out fitting and can combine hardware installs with a RacingLine OEM+ remap or rolling road session if you want to see the full picture.

Is a RacingLine map worth the extra money?

For most people, yes. The difference between RacingLine OEM+ and a cheaper generic remap isn't just the peak number on a dyno sheet, it's how the car feels every time you drive it. The calibration is written from scratch for each engine and developed to work as a proper system rather than a one-size-fits-all tune. If you're going to spend money on a remap and live with it for years, it's worth doing properly.
