Frequently asked questions
Is a do88 intercooler upgrade worth it?
On a remapped car, yes. The factory intercooler is built around the factory power output and on a tuned car it's already working harder than intended. A do88 intercooler keeps charge temperatures lower and more consistent, which means the engine can actually deliver the power the tune is asking for rather than pulling timing when things heat up. On a car that does track days or gets driven properly, you'll feel the difference. If you want the numbers to back it up, a rolling road session before and after tells the story clearly.
Are do88 radiators reliable for a daily driver?
Yes. do88 radiators turn up on daily driven VAG cars regularly and the quality holds up. The silicone hose kits are more durable than factory rubber over time, which is worth thinking about on a car that covers real miles. If the factory hoses are getting on a bit, doing the do88 hose kit alongside other cooling work is a sensible call rather than doing it separately six months down the line.
Does do88 cover my VAG engine?
The range covers a wide spread of VAG platforms from older applications through to current MQB and MQB Evo. Browse on site by model or give us a ring on 0161 776 0777 and we'll find the right kit for your specific engine.
Can I combine do88 fitting with other work?
Yes. If the car is coming in for cooling upgrades it makes sense to sort anything else that's due at the same time. A full service or DSG service alongside the do88 work means one visit rather than two.
