Frequently asked questions
Is a Ramair induction kit worth it?
For most VAG cars, yes. A Ramair induction kit improves airflow into the engine and on a remapped car that's doing more work than standard, better breathing makes a real difference to how consistently it performs. The ProRam systems which route intake air from outside the engine bay are the more effective option for tuned cars, while a panel filter swap is a sensible low-cost starting point for a car that's otherwise standard.
Are Ramair filters good?
Yes. The foam filter technology has been around for decades and Ramair has refined it to a point where the filtration and flow characteristics are well proven. The washable and reusable nature of the foam filters also makes them better value over time than disposable panel filters, particularly on a car that's being serviced regularly. For the price point they sit at, Ramair filters are consistently good value.
How does Ramair compare to MST Performance or Eventuri?
Ramair sits at the more accessible end of the intake market alongside MST Performance, while Eventuri is at the premium end. Ramair's strength is broad coverage and competitive pricing, which makes it a practical choice for cars that are early in a build or where budget is a consideration.
MST offers similar value with a slightly different product lineup. Eventuri is for cars where intake temperatures and airflow consistency are being taken seriously at higher power levels. If you're not sure which suits your setup, give us a ring and we'll give you a straight answer.
