Racingline Performance Spring and Damper Kit - Golf Mk5

I got these as a compromise between a more expensive adjustable coilover kit and my worn out stock setup. I've been really impressed with this kit. It's a great mix of comfort and performance. It's definitely stiffer than stock, but living in London with speed bumps and horrible roads everywhere, the ride is maybe even more comfortable than my old (150k miles) stock setup. In corners the car feels solid and there's infinitely more grip than there was before! Highly recommended. I think I'll be keeping this a lot longer than I originally planned before upgrading again, as it's really impressed me. Only slight downside (if you want to call it that) is the lowering is hardly noticeable; the ride is lower, but not by as much as I expected. Highly recommended.

Ride height drop was spot on, the look is just the right balance for those looking subtle modification.
Used this kit to replace lowering springs and standard shock setup (80k miles original shocks!) fitted by previous owner, and the ride quality was just next level.

Have to agree with the above, a great oem + kit.
My car had standard dampers with Eibach sport line springs when I bought it which was far too crashy on uk roads.
This kit is perfect for uk road use, slightly more compliant than standard and a nice stance.

This kit is ideal for those looking to refresh their GTI's chassis at a very reasonable cost. The ride height reduction is daily driver sensible and doesn't mess up the roll center, and the quoted drop is accurate.

The primary ride is noticeably softer than OEM with this kit, and yet manages to keep the car up better round corners, and also eradicates wallowing on undulating B roads. VWR have seemingly pulled off the impossible - no compromises!

Given the improvements in all the key areas for a road car, it's amazing they've achieved it at such a low price.

I would say this kit is too soft for hardcore track work, but for a road car, it's spot on.
