Three Ways to Lower Your Car

ST's range splits into clear tiers depending on how much adjustment you want. Standard lowering springs give a fixed drop, typically around 30mm, using powder coated high grade steel and backed by a 2 year warranty. A step up, ST's height adjustable spring systems pair with your existing dampers to let you fine tune ride height continuously rather than settling for one fixed figure, similar to the approach used on the Golf 8 2WD, which offers 35 to 50mm at the front and 30 to 45mm at the rear. At the top of the range, ST XA and XTA coilovers add adjustable rebound damping alongside ride height, with the XTA also including adjustable front top mounts for finer geometry control.

ST Suspension and the KW Connection

ST Suspension is part of the KW Group, and it shows in the underlying engineering. What differs is where each brand sits in the range: ST focuses on ride height adjustment with simpler rebound only damping control, while KW's higher tier Variant kits add independently adjustable compression damping too. Neither is a lesser product; ST is built as a more accessible entry point into coilover performance rather than a stripped down version of anything.
