OEM 2.0T Diaphragm Diverter Valve
One of the weakest points on any chipped 2.0T cars is the diverter valve. A worn, or well used diaphragm can split under high boost pressure, and create a massive boost leak.
This OEM item is a direct replacement part for your existing valve.
We specifically recommend this valve for customers running a the stock KO3 Turbo charger in the 180-200bhp models.
Can't fault the customer service from these guys and part came the next day. Just waiting to fit now and hopefully see an improvement in power.
Didn’t know this problem existed with MK5 GTI’s but knew straight away something wasn’t right with my new purchase (car).
Car felt normally aspirated, I could feel no turbo surge and although it felt eager, it didn’t push me back in my seat.
Replaced the old DV which was shredded the whole way around.
What a difference. It’s a different car, the car I expected when I first bought it. Torque to burn. Scary to think how many GTI owners are driving around at about 150 bhp because of this issue. Rev G has worked well and I’m hopeful for a bit of longevity out of it, we’ll see. Turned up next day from Awesome too, no messing around and having to wait a week.
Had an issue with fluttering from the turbo, which came down to an issue with the old DV. Changed over to the new one and the difference is immediate, throttle response has improved, have the power back and seems to help with fuel economy as well. The old one didn't have any obvious tears but if you're having an issue with fluttering then it's well worth changing for this!
The valve is an OEM beast but the real shining star in all of this is Awesome's service. Awesome by name and nature.
Didnt suspect i had a faulty dv but changed it anyway and its unbelievable the difference it made to the way the car hits and hold boost now, if you havent changed it then id recommend doing so
