Volkswagen Passat CC Tuning & Performance Parts

The Passat CC has a shape worth keeping tidy. A sensible set of mods can sharpen how it drives without losing the relaxed feel that makes it such a good long-distance car. At Awesome GTI, we stock parts to change how the CC drives and looks. Our  Manchester workshop is there for the jobs you'd rather hand over to a specialist.

Start with the car in front of you. Our listings cover 1.8 TSI, 2.0 TSI, 2.0 TDI and 3.6 VR6 models, but a part appearing on the CC page doesn't mean it fits every engine or brake setup. Check the engine code and equipment on the individual listing. Model year matters too. If you're unsure, send us the registration and we'll help narrow it down.

Passat CC Remaps and Intakes

For a healthy turbocharged CC, an ECU remap can bring stronger mid-range torque and make the car feel keener when pulling away or overtaking. We offer an  APR Stage 1 remap for specified EA888 Gen1 2.0 TSI engines at our workshop. The correct software depends on the engine; we'd check that and the car's condition before recommending a map, particularly on an older example. Extra torque also means the clutch or gearbox needs to be in good shape.

Prefer a little more intake sound? The  RacingLine intake for the Passat CC 2.0 TSI replaces more of the factory intake path. Check your engine against the product details. An intake isn't a substitute for the right software, and we wouldn't promise a particular power or torque gain without testing your car.

Passat CC Suspension and Brakes

A fresh  ST spring and damper kit for the Passat CC is worth a look when the original suspension feels tired or you want a more controlled stance. For coilovers, check whether the car has factory electronic dampers before choosing a kit. If you lower the car, check wheel clearance and get the alignment set. Good tyres matter just as much.

Brake sizes vary too. VBT has  345 x 30 mm front discs listed for the 3.6 VR6's matching brake setup. Measure or confirm the existing discs before ordering rather than assuming they'll fit a 2.0 TSI or TDI.

Passat CC Body Styling

Looking at a Passat CC body kit? We stock individual Maxton styling parts, including a  front splitter for the 2012–2017 CC R-Line. That listing is for the R-Line bumper, so a standard bumper or earlier Passat CC needs a different part. Browse the parts below or ask our team to check a proposed setup before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make my VW Passat faster?

For a Passat CC, start with a car that's running properly, then choose a remap matched to its engine if one is available. Mid-range torque often makes a bigger difference on the road than a headline peak-power figure. Check the clutch or gearbox's condition before adding torque, and make sure the tyres and brakes are up to the job. An intake alone shouldn't be sold as a guaranteed power upgrade.

Is the 2.0 TDI engine in the Passat CC reliable?

A well-maintained 2.0 TDI can be a sound choice, but condition and service history matter more than a blanket reliability claim. Check the timing belt history against the engine's service schedule and look for evidence that any EGR or diesel particulate filter faults have been dealt with properly. If the car has warning lights or running issues, sort those before considering a remap.

How fast can a VW CC go?

There's no single top speed for the CC. The factory figure depends on the engine and gearbox, and can change with model year. Check the technical data for the exact version rather than applying a 3.6 VR6 figure to a 2.0 TDI. For tuning, we'd focus first on how the car delivers torque through the gears and how well its chassis handles the change.

What year should I avoid when buying a VW Passat CC?

There isn't a single year we'd rule out across every CC engine. An earlier car with documented servicing and repairs can be a better buy than a newer one with gaps in its history. Inspect the car and check that the records cover the maintenance required for its engine and gearbox. Don't apply general Passat fault lists to every Passat CC.
